Manuscript Reviews and Editing

If you have an early draft of a book–or even just an idea and a mess of pages you need help figuring out–I want to hear about it! Come, tell me your book problems (and your book dreams). I can help you determine the scope and focus, understand your audience, and elevate the narrative journey. In reviews and developmental edits I’ll give you comments, questions, and suggestions related to language, story, content, clarity, logic, material, pacing, learning, and structure. We may also discuss publishing plans and options.

Many authors who come to me with early drafts for review or to get my feedback on their idea end up working with me as a coach to see their project through. But there are many options here. We might do just a couple of meetings to talk about the book and get you moving. We might do one read-through with a developmental feedback memo and one meeting. We might do two meetings, review and developmental edit. Or you might need a developmental edit all the way to full line edit. Prices vary, so please tell me your budget when you reach out!

Reach out and tell me what stage your project is at, what kind of support you think you need or the challenges you’re facing. If the fit is right, we’ll have a consultation after which I’ll share a proposal for our work that makes the most sense for your needs and goals.
